Our Love Will Flower

ÀNÌKÉ- Day 14

Our Love Will Flower

like a garden where memories do not die,
where evening setting sun is beauty sighing on imperfections,
on broken dreams & bodies mourning into hollows & absence.

our love will flower in blueness like the sky,
like an open sea with the soothing cologne of home,
the earth will listen to jingles of our heartbeats & dance to its rhythm.

long for me in every music flourishing your soul with rain,
in every trembling of your heart towards light & lilies,
long for me in the silence fetching spring into your bosom

& I’ll unwrap this body before you, I’ll empty the barrels
on my skin for your touch, baby, pour your yearnings
on me till I’m full enough to speak in multiple tongues.

& our love will flower in every way moon ray wax
symphonies on lowly bodies, on night children displaced by war,
it will flower like revival across a broken city.

our love will bliss the earth with offspring of stars,
blessed shall we be in every eye, in every mouth that binds us in warmth,
blessed like the breeze of beaches, like the air God breathes in.

our love will flower like faith the size of a mustard seed,
like grace upon a country torn beyond stitches,
our love will flower like light waves in the dark.

blessed shall we be in winter & summer.
& our love will hold water the depth of oceans,
& our togetherness will make beauty of people & places.
