Let’s Make Love

Butterflies- Day 19

Let’s Make Love

-after listening to Brymo

I.
& because love is God, clutch your body
in my arms for a purple fellowship
as we find our favorite dream in psalms
of the chemistry goose- bumping our skins,
let me trace every line & verses on your waist to the
foothill of paradise where bodies clap to smoke,
for our vapour shall be to the heavens a song of redemption
running wild on a highway with the speed of fire.

II.
locate my lips for a holy kiss & dissolve
in its softness till you’re hard as wall enough
to carry thunderstorms & not break,
set your heaviness on voyage in my mouth
while the clinking of our tongue prepares the way
for the uprising of our blood, of water & wetness.
baby, there is mercy here & she’s saying no & she’s not
letting you slip away till we are one with God in craft.

III.
close your eyes, open your heart,
there’s a prayer in the conduit of our bones
seeking a voice at our matrimony with silence,
cos that’s where love begets butterflies,
where angels shuffle harps & hearts.
& when we are done, we’ll say the grace with an artful of sigh,
-climbing down stairs of our soul in colours & salvation.
I swear nothing saves a body faster than the sermon of love-making.
