Dance, Dance, Baby Dance

ÀNÌKÉ- Day 22

Dance, Dance, Baby Dance

twirl your waist to the beats of our love,
twirl, twirl, leave me with a thirst
for the wine your body brews.
twirl, twirl, leave me in ecstasy,
with a longing to touch the saneness
on your skin to insanity & wet symphonies.
twirl, twirl, let the clinking sound
of your waist beads call me out of me,
out of the chaos within me to the home that reeks
of your charms & the cologne of your prowess.
jiggle your body on mine till we dissolve
into the night in vapors & sweat,
till we stretch far beyond the sight of time,
for tonight, our intimacy shall be to the
earth a parcel of art and purple poetry,
for tonight, the communion of our love
shall be to the sky fireworks & twinkling stars.
Ibaadi aran mi, dance, dance, let me be a moth
to the flames your spinning curve emits,
dance, dance, fill every hollow in my eyes
with you, with your elegance, with the blessings
embroidered to the future behind you
& the puffed softness before you.
