ÀNÌKÉ- Day 20
Because Love is God Blooming Between Two Hearts
the moon & stars are here again
with eyes full of light & expectations.
it’s twilight, another time to hatch our love
under the sky, to bleed fireflies from the
passion that sets our bodies ablaze.
look, angels are here too with strings
on their tongues, tonight, the heavens
will bear witness of the miracle that is the
mating of our souls, tonight, our love
will be the art of the universe:
watch the trees closely, they will shrill
& mime to the rhythms of our heartbeats,
pay attention to the birds, they will eulogize our love,
they will take our symphony to the wild,
to horizons & landscapes, to oceans & sea shores.
Ànìké, cities will hear of this love
& dazzle in the rays of beauty & bliss,
mountains will grow wings, greens will grow
full of grace & farmlands will flourish,
because love is God blooming between
two hearts & our love is no exception.
